One of the juicy things about Middle-age is the quality of being increasingly honest ... and finally knowing that no one gives a damn about it any way.
I'm learning sooOOoooo much at Middle Age.
1. Balance
Balance is important at any age, but at middle age, it's crucial.
2. Planning
Same as number 1. Plan it, or plan to fail.
3. First Dreams ... FIRST DREAMS in all aspects of life ... in work, in where to live ... and most certainly in love.
At middle age, there's not a lot of "good" time left to play around.
So why am I here? (In this tribe?)
I love "full grown" middle age women ... but have you seen most of them now that Monsanto has currupted our food supply? I mean ... Winnabago ... Super Sized females who couldn't go hiking with me any further than to the edge of the parking lot. "FREE DONUTS!!"
Yes .... the look and feel. At least I know that's the honest truth.
Now comes the hard part ... can I relate to the generations that grew up on Rap? (OuCh! And they're sooo cute .... (*sob*)
Yes. But I have to be real too, huh?
Kool.
But how rare?
My buddies who went "young" and got their butts kicked ...
So what's my hesitation?
The fear of looking like a fool?
The fear of LOOKING LIKE a dirty old man? (Hell ... one glance at my tribes will tell you THAT!)
How about the fear of wasting my time?
Can anyone add any more?
((chuckle))

Re: My Honest Thoughts About All This ...
Mon, October 19, 2009 - 7:58 AMYou may or may not get your butt kicked. You may or may not look the fool, or the dirty old man. You probably won't share a young lady's taste in music. But there are some intelligent, well spoken, beautiful young women out there, and worth the search.
In the same thought, though, there are still some beautiful, slim, energetic women our own age out there, too. And they are also worth the search. -

Re: My Honest Thoughts About All This ...
Mon, October 19, 2009 - 8:35 AMWell said, Lester.
I was just over at the Univ of Alabama this past weekend visiting my son on a football Saturday. OMG! The quality of the co-ed talent at UA is second to none and as I enjoyed all my pregame beverages in the 'Quad' tailgating with a bunch of other middle agers, I had a difficult time remembering I was with my wife. More blond hair than Hollywood. Gorgeous girls.
But then, as I'd return to my senses, I'd look around and catch myself admiring so many of the mothers of my son's frat buddies. Mercy. It was a sensational day. Surprised my wife and suggested we go back this weekend, too, for the Tennessee game. She agreed... but if she knew why I'm so interested in heading back, maybe she'd back off a little. But heck! I'm sure she wasn't minding her view either. Good looking wives very often have good lookin' hubbies. I doubt she had blinders on herself.
